Shipping & Returns
Concerning time of shipment, please remember that each item is hand-made right in our own workshop and that orders, especially for harnesses and the other more time-intensive projects, are generally filled in the order they are taken. While we do our best to provide a reasonably accurate ship time estimate, this estimate is just that and is not a guaranteed ship time. Leather Creations is known for its personalized and custom items. Many online retailers offer items that can be purchased almost anywhere. At Leather Creations, we take pride in unique items for the pet enthusiast. Many of these products are literally one of a kind items. Please understand, orders can take a few weeks, so check for any extended shipping times on items.
Leather craftsmanship is an art and, like any other art, the end product of a rushed job will not measure up to a more careful job that might take a while longer to produce. As we desire to produce only the finest products that anyone would be proud to own, we appreciate your patience.
We are very conscious of the fact that there is a considerable amount of credit card fraud. For the protection of our customers, we reserve the right to withhold any shipment for the purpose of verifying order and credit card authenticity.
To help guarantee your shipment is sent in a timely manner, during the ordering process, please avoid providing e-mail addresses with any of the free services such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Juno. Instead provide an e-mail address that is associated with and provided by your internet service provider.
Please Add Additional Shipping Costs
Additional or International shipping charges are not calculated into your bill at checkout. Please use the “Comments” section (in the checkout pages) to type “Please add any additional shipping costs.” We will determine the exact additional amount and add it to your total.
For all accepted rush jobs, a fee either of $25.00 or 20% of the cost of the order will be charged, whichever is greater. This rush fee is in addition to any and all costs. For all shipments, including rush orders, we cannot be held responsible for shipping delays that are due to errors or delivery date changes made by UPS, Federal Express, the United States postal service or any other carrier or delivery service.
Orders cancelled the same day the order was placed (or within 24 hours) can be cancelled at no charge. Later cancellations will be assessed a 20% cancellation fee. Custom orders will be assessed a 20% cancellation fee, provided the item is not fully complete. Items complete and ready for shipment or that have been shipped cannot be cancelled.
Leather Creations offers hundreds of products for you and your pet. Our goal is the complete satisfaction of each and every one of our customers. We hope that all of our customers are satisfied with their purchases. However if the rare situation occurs where you are not, then we want to invite you to return your item to us. Please review the return policy below.
None of our products is mass manufactured. Instead, each item you order is custom made for you, by hand, at the time of order. Your satisfaction is very important to us. To that end, we will happily repair or replace any item found, at our sole discretion, to be defective. We will also provide reasonable alterations and accommodations to insure that our products work for you. Some alterations and accommodations may be completed with a fee. A full merchandise exchange or store credit may also be issued to ensure your satisfaction.
Please note that leather is a naturally occurring material and may have range or game marks that add to the interest and character of the leather. At Leather Creations we ensure that none of these marks appear on the final product. However, there may be invisible defects in the leather. If any item should break because of these defects or any manufacturer’s defect, we will be happy to replace the item at no charge.
We offer trained, skilled and knowledgeable pet specialists to assist you in making wise and appropriate choices for your needs and the needs of your pets. However, our customer service representatives can not be held responsible for incorrectly ordered items. You may reach us by phone – (813) 719-9136 – 5 days and 80 hours a week.
Merchandise must be in a new re-sellable condition. Partial returns and/or damages will NOT receive a full credit. Items damaged through “wear and tear” or due to return shipping damage will receive PARTIAL or NO CREDIT at the discretion of Leather Creations. If the item returned is NOT free of pet hair, debris and/or odor, your refund will be less than the original charge to you or no refund at all. Please allow 14-21 days for your return to be inspected and for accounting to call you and arrange to issue your credit. If you paid by credit card, your card will be credited. If you paid with a check, we will send your refund check to your billing address. If you paid via Paypal, we will contact you about your refund options. Please Note – the initial cost of shipping will be deducted.
Products that have been personalized in any way, (eg. with a name stamped on it) cannot be returned and do not qualify for a refund.
Store credits are valid for 60 days from the issue date and can be used for store or website purchases. We absolutely guarantee your satisfaction.
We encourage you to measure your pet as accurately as possible, as we allow one complimentary exchange per item*. After one exchange, each exchange will incur a re-stocking and shipping & handling fee of 20% of the order total. Our apologies, we cannot accept returns COD. We do not reimburse shipping charges.
*All exchanges for international orders will be charged an international shipping fee based on the items exchanged.

On the invoice/copy of invoice, please let us know the reason for the return and/or what you would like to exchange the merchandise for. For your protection, we suggest you send your return via Federal Express, UPS or by US Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation for tracking purposes. Customers are responsible for all costs associated with returning a product to us for repair or replacement and we will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged shipments.
